I’m still here. I’ve been very busy, but I need to do more. Trying to re-focus. Looking forward to doing some more writing. Still thinking about writing a book online, even if it is just for myself. Anyway, got to go now. Hopefully I can write something more important next time. Bye!

I was very excited to see that someone actually did come by and take a look at the blog. Very cool. I’m now thinking about writing a book online. See how fast the Web works. One day just a little crazy blog, then the next, bang…your writing a book. Doing a chapter at a time just to get my feet wet. I’m thinking about a sci-fi type book. Anyway, I hope to get something started soon. Still working on plot, character, etc. While I’m at it, I think I will start painting some modern art. I might post my drafts up on here too. Ha!

Just set up a free drop.io account. This is the coolest thing that I have seen in a long time. It is a location on the Web where you can upload files, photos, etc. I know, there are other sites like this that allow for a large amount of space, but if you need something quick, this is the ticket. Another really cool thing is that you can get a voice mail number where you can store messages and they convert it to an MP3 that you can later listen to on your site. How cool is that! Basically free if you have a wireless phone with national coverage. Anyway check it out at www.drop.io.

Hey, did you ever wonder why so many blogs start out with “Hey, don’t know what I’m going to write, blah, blah, blah.” I think it is because we are excited about having our 15 minutes of fame and I’m guilty of that too. That is why is doesn’t really matter because nobody is reading this anyway. I could say anything that I wanted to. I guess I will keep writing posts from time to time just to see what happens. Maybe someday I will have something important to say. If you did come by, thanks for reading my “jibrjabr.”

Good evening. Just trying to figure out how I’m going to use this blog. I never was a person to keep a journal but this is beginning to be fun. I never know what I’m going to start writing about until I start writing. Tonight it is going to be a little about Christian faith and the really cool wine bar that my wife and I visited today.

Topic: Bible Study
It is a Monday night and I have just had a wonderful Bible study lesson. It is really great to study the Word with a group of people. You learn so much more from a group atmosphere. We are studying the Book of Daniel. We are finding out how important it is to fight off the trappings of Babylon. Daniel was so strong in his faith and God was so faithful to him. If we could all grow to have that trust in God. Getting caught up in ourselves and the world around us can be harmful and can act as a wedge between us and God. We are tasked with having to live in this world, but also be able to keep focused on what is really our goal…to live our lives as Jesus has demonstrated and asked us to live. Well, anyway it has been a special time for me and I’m so glad I have started back with the Men’s Bible study.

Next Topic: Wine Bar
We had the day off today and had lunch before running a few errands. We went to this really neat wine bar in Baxter Village. They had many different types of wines from around the world including different beers too. It had a great atmosphere and we may plan an outing with some of our friends from church. (Yep, I know what you are thinking, but Jesus did turn water into wine. He just said don’t get drunk off your you know what.)

Well, here I am again. I may use this as a little historical archive of things going on currently in the year 2008 from my perspective. This is the year of the big election where the hope is that we can begin to head in another direction where we can start looking after those with little in the world. I feel that we are either going to have a woman President or a African-American President. I think this will be good. Time will tell. Not going to get into politics right now because it is such a violent topic. Also would like to discuss religion, but that too is another topic for another time. Maybe I will begin to sprinkle them in here and there as time goes on. (I told you this would be random stuff.)

Next topic: Cars
Hoping to see if Jeep will produce the Wrangler truck that I have seen in some of the car shows of late. Looks pretty cool. There are many changes in the car industry. They really need to get their acts together. Looking forward to the Chevy Camaro and the new Dodge Challenger hopefully in 2009 or so.

Next topic: Computers
I’m using Vista which is working fine right now. There has been much talk of how Vista sucks, but I think it’s fine. For the average person it should be okay. I’m kind of a PC guy due to working in corporate America. However, Apple does produce cool stuff. I’m waiting for a smaller form-factor universal device. Bigger than the iPhone, so you can really type on it, but smaller than the new MacBook Air. About the size of a Day Runner. You know those old daily type planners. Anyway, I think that would really take off. Something that you could tote around, but act as a PC, phone, and music player. I know, there are Ultra-mobile PCs, but I think the design needs to be really good, the way Apple does stuff.

Enough for now. I need to eat lunch. Next time maybe I will begin talking about my introduction to the design world and how it’s beginning to play a part in many areas of my work and life.
